Visitors Backtracking

One of TrackSite's innovative features is visitors backtracking. Backtracked visitors are visitors who will perform some target activity at some future date in report's range. Backtracking visitors is extremely useful for tracking origins and prior activity of visitors who subsequently perform some significant actions on site, i.e. complete order, download specific files, visit specific pages etc.

For example, defining online orders to be the targeted activity and producing Traffic Sources report for backtracked buyers segment would render traffic sources that bring ordering visitors to the site, which is very valuable information. Thus, while the regular Traffic Sources report will show top referring sources for all visitors, including those who make no purchases, the backtracked Traffic Sources report will show top sources that refer real buyers to your site, and those sources may be completely different from top sources for average visitors. In other words, backtracking buyers will show where your buyers are, i.e. from where they come from -- a highly valuable information. Same way, any TrackSite's report can be produced for backtracked segments.
